FAQ
- Essential — includes only online play and a few free games each month.
- Extra — mid tier; includes the previous plus a library of up to 400 free games.
- Deluxe — the widest tier; adds 2–5 hour trials of new games and a classics catalog.
For most games bought on disc or downloaded from the PlayStation Store, you'll need a PlayStation Plus membership to play online.
Most free-to-play games — like Fortnite, Apex Legends and Call of Duty Warzone — don't require a membership.
To downgrade your membership:
- On PS4 or PS5: account settings → subscription management
- On the web: sign in to your PlayStation Network account and visit subscription management
The downgrade takes effect at the end of the currently paid period.
If you don't have an active membership: a PlayStation Plus voucher gives you Essential access for the period printed on the voucher. A PlayStation Now voucher gives Deluxe access for a period equivalent to the voucher's cash value.
If you're already an active member: the voucher converts into a period equivalent to the cost of your current tier.
The games available to PlayStation Plus members are refreshed monthly across all three tiers.
