Turkey and Ukraine PS Store regions — prices in Armenia
Why the same game costs differently in two PlayStation Store regions, how to tell which region your account is in, and how to pick the option that works best for you.
Which region is my account?
A game bought in one region's store works only on an account of that region. On a PS5, open Settings → Users and Accounts → Account → Account Information: the country or region is shown there. No Turkey or Ukraine account yet? Write to us and we'll open one for you.
How regions work in the PlayStation Store
The PlayStation Store sets prices per region: the price of a game depends on which region your PlayStation Network account is registered in. Prices vary with currency, local taxes and Sony's regional pricing. PS Plus Armenia works with two regions, Ukraine and Turkey, where prices are often much lower than in the European or US regions.
The Ukraine region — priced in hryvnia
The Ukrainian PlayStation Store prices games in hryvnia. The hryvnia is a relatively stable currency, and the Ukraine region is often cheaper for games that are less discounted in Turkey. Different editions of one game are often priced differently in the two regions.
The Turkey region — priced in lira
The Turkish PlayStation Store prices games in lira. The lira's exchange rate moves often, so game prices can change often too. The Turkey region is especially good value for PS Plus subscriptions, big (AAA) games and large discounts.
How we show prices in dram
On every game page, PS Plus Armenia shows the Ukraine and Turkey prices side by side in dram, converted at the current exchange rate with our service included. The price you see is the price you pay, with no hidden fees.
Frequently asked questions
Why do prices differ between the Turkish and Ukrainian PlayStation Store?
PlayStation sets separate prices for each region based on the local currency (lira in Turkey, hryvnia in Ukraine), taxes and Sony's regional pricing. Exchange rates move, so the same game often costs differently in the two regions.
Which region should I buy a game in — Ukraine or Turkey?
A game has to be bought in your account's region. If you have accounts in both, it depends on the current price of the game: PS Plus Armenia shows both prices in dram on one page, so you can compare them and pick the cheaper region.
How are prices converted to dram?
We convert Turkish lira and Ukrainian hryvnia to dram at the current exchange rate. The price shown is the price you pay.
Can the region of a PlayStation account be changed?
No. The region is chosen when the account is created and can't be changed later. That's why we can open a separate Turkey or Ukraine account for you, and our team will help you set it up.
Is it safe to buy games from these regions?
Yes. We work only with the official PlayStation Store of these regions, and games are activated on your PlayStation account.
